We are searching for a Marketing Specialist to own the day-to-day marketing execution across a wide range of channels – both digital and traditional.
The ideal candidate will bring a track record of successful digital and traditional marketing experience, ecommerce management, Google Ads, and readily adopt new technologies to maintain our position ahead of the pack.
You will execute their marketing strategy. You will create digital and traditional marketing assets including images, compelling content for the website, social channels, email marketing, and physical collateral for the branches, to drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversion. You will be responsible for Google Analytics, ad buys and work with our suppliers’ marketing departments to promote their products. Importantly, you will also manage their leading-edge ecommerce platform containing over 80,000 items, perhaps the largest in our vertical, and leverage & grow its AI capabilities.

What you will be doing
- Collaborate with the VP of Sales and Marketing to execute comprehensive marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, traffic, engagement, and conversions.
- Work closely with Manufacturing partners to ensure consistent communication of their brand identity within marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Support branches by effectively communicating marketing campaigns and providing necessary marketing materials.
- Lead efforts to ensure consistency in messaging, branding, content, and the look and feel of all internal and external communications and marketing materials.
Digital
- Plan and execute social media and email marketing campaigns, developing and maintaining an editorial calendar for digital marketing activities.
- Monitor key online metrics to track success and measure online campaigns using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Ads
- Develop compelling content for the company website, including content pages, brand pages, banners, branch TV, promotions, etc.
- Own the digital marketing editorial calendar, including drafting, scheduling, and publishing content across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, and YouTube.
- Drive brand awareness and online presence through strategic digital marketing projects and campaigns.
- Create and edit ads to support various campaigns and initiatives.
Traditional
- Create, edit, and maintain all marketing materials, including flyers, line cards, catalogues, and banners
- Create and edit marketing material to support various campaigns and initiatives.
- Event Logistics: Coordinate the execution of promotions, contests, trade shows, and corporate events.
We need these skills & experiences
- Bachelor’s degree/College Diploma in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing, with a proven track record of driving results.
- Proficiency in graphic design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva) and experience creating visual content (static and video)
- Experience with tools such as builder.io, Klevu, Adobe Magento, Klaviyo, and Hootsuite is an advantage
- Experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
- Basic photography or video editing skills for original content creation
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) or Google Ads.
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, project management skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of Microsoft

What you’ll be doing
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities for lighting and controls in the commercial, industrial, and contractor markets within the GTA.
- Conduct lighting audits and site assessments to uncover revenue generating upgrade opportunities
- Design lighting layouts and develop complete, competitive lighting and controls proposals
- Supporting customers by identifying and leveraging available utility incentives and energy efficiency programs to improve project ROI and close opportunities
- Leverage technical expertise to effectively position lighting fixtures, LED technologies, and control systems against competitive alternatives
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including architects, engineers, contractors, energy consultants, and facility managers.
- Act as the lighting and controls specialist supporting branch teams and sales partners in driving opportunities
- Develop and maintain a yearly business plan. Participate in annual sales planning meetings
- Primary contact and manage assigned key accounts, attending client sites often
- Passionately helping customers be more successful by delivering exceptional experiences
What you bring to the table
- 3-5 years (min) experience in lighting & controls design and selling
- Strong understanding of lighting fixtures, LED technologies, and lighting control systems
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Proficiency with lighting layout tools, quotation platforms, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office
- Proven ability to build pipeline, close deals, and consistently achieve sales targets
- Strong communication, presentation and relationship building skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Post-secondary education in an Electrical related discipline
- Experience with Inventory Systems and CRMs
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office

What you’ll be doing
